CEO

Jim Blayney joined RenewData as CEO in April 2011. He brings more than 30 years of diverse management experience in business services firms – most recently in the legal sector. He has particular expertise in the areas of strategy development and implementation, as well as sales and marketing and financial management.

Prior to RenewData, Blayney was the division president of SOURCECORP's Legal and Consulting Division, which specializes in claims administration and consulting for the legal profession. He also held other executive positions within SOURCECORP, including serving as president of Rust Consulting and ERS Group, wholly owned subsidiaries.

Before joining SOURCECORP, Blayney was the senior vice president of business services for RSM McGladrey, Inc. and McGladrey and Pullen, LLP, the fifth-largest CPA and business services firm in the country. There he was responsible for the consulting practices, investment banking, retirement plan administration and wealth management practices for the entire firm.

Blayney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Central College, a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, and was a Certified Public Accountant.

ABS Capital Partners

Bobby is a General Partner at ABS Capital Partners with a focus on technology companies. Bobby's wide-ranging skill set comes from experience in investment banking and technology, allowing him to rapidly assess companies, both in understanding their business models and their competitive advantages.

Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2001, Bobby worked in Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown's Technology Investment Banking Group, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. He has nearly ten years of investment banking experience with Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs in equity and fixed income financing and M&A. He frequently worked with boards and CEOs at premier technology growth companies and has a large network that he calls upon when working with his portfolio companies.

Before entering investment banking, Bobby spent four years in the systems practice at Andersen Consulting where he gained a deep understanding of technology and development issues. Mr. Goswami graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

ABS Capital Partners

Phil is a Managing General Partner at ABS Capital Partners. He also oversees the firm's business services investment efforts. With extensive experience at the board level setting strategy and helping to assemble talented teams, Phil is an active partner in helping CEOs take growth companies to the next level of success.

Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2001, Phil was the president and CEO of SITEL Corporation. While at SITEL, Clough grew both revenues and EPS significantly, as well as established relationships with corporations such as GM, America Online, Siebel and IBM. Most importantly, he learned the value of setting and clearly articulating goals and priorities for his team, including regularly measuring against them, something he routinely helps his companies with today.

From 1990 to 1997, he was in the Investment Banking Group at Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, leading their business services efforts, where he advised clients on M&A transactions as well as equity and debt offerings. He served in the United States Army from 1983 to 1988, rising to the rank of Captain in 1987.

Phil is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Garvin Hill Capital Partners LLC

Mark is the Managing Partner of Garvin Hill Capital Partners LLC (formerly the private equity arm of CIBC World Markets). Prior to joining CIBC Capital Partners, Mark was a General Partner at BCI Partners, a private equity firm, with USD$800 million under management. Prior to that Mark spent several years at Edison Ventures. Present and prior investments include: Adaytum Software (acquired by Cognos), CashEdge, Corillian (Nasdaq: CORI), Data Labs (acquired by Lucent), Fuelquest, RenewData, Seisint (acquired by LexisNexis, member of Reed Elsevier Group plc), Telelogic (TLOG), Tylink (acquired by Sync Research), Viewlocity (acquired by Synquest), Verid, Visual Networks (Nasdaq: VNWK) and Yantra (acquired by Sterling Commerce).

Mark is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts in Economics program at Colorado College and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Michael Clurman, retired as Vice President of Operations at The Washington Post where he was responsible for production operations, engineering, information technology and large capital projects.

Michael joined The Washington Post in 1971 as an apprentice printer. In 1976, Michael was promoted to a management trainee position on the production staff at The Post. In 1979, he was promoted to Assistant to the Vice President of Operations where he was responsible for much of the budget and financial control and capacity planning for the Operations and Production Departments. Michael was also responsible for the Operations analysis group.

In 1981, Michael was promoted to the position of Plant Manager at The Post's Springfield Plant. In 1989, he was promoted to Director of Production and in 1990 he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Production. While Vice President of Production, Michael was appointed Chairman of The Post's Futures Committee with responsibility for driving The Post's Capital spending strategy. In 1994, Michael directed the successful $250 Million recapitalization of The Post's printing and production facilities, including the construction of a new plant in College Park, Maryland.

In 2000, Michael was promoted to the position of Vice President of Operations where he was also responsible for Information Technology. In that role, Michael directed the complete transformation of the technology structure at The Post including the design and implementation of an enterprise system from SAP, implementation of a structured governance process, standardization of technology platforms and implementation of service oriented architecture.

In March of 2009 Michael accepted the temporary position of President and Chief Operating Officer of INVISION Inc. INVISION is the leading provider of advertising planning and sales solutions to the media industry and is trusted by the leading media content providers to manage over $13 billion in advertising revenue each year.

Michael graduated with honors from the University of Maryland where he earned a degree in Business Administration. In 1988, he attended the PMD Program at Harvard Business School.

Michael has served on the Industry Advisory Board of Rochester Institute of Technology. He also serves on the Technology Advisory Board of the Newspaper Association of America. He is a member of the Board of Directors of RenewData Corporation of Austin, Texas. He is a member of the Board of Governors of The Packard Foundation for ALS Research at The Johns Hopkins University. Michael has many leisure activities including, golf, scuba diving, motorcycling, skiing and reading. Michael is also a licensed Private Pilot, but hasn't flown in many years.

Michael Clurman was born in 1952 in New York City, New York and moved to the Washington area in 1959. He lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife Sally.

Founder, RenewData

Dan Gardner is one of the original founders of RenewData. He has a long history of technical leadership, strategic planning and is a results-oriented entrepreneur. Gardner began his career with an engineering position at Ontrack Data International. He then launched his own business, Progressive Data Recovery, focused on data structures, data recovery and related forensics for their corporate clients. Gardner has been in a technical leadership role beginning with the company's inception through its growth and maturation. Gardner holds a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a bachelor's degree in mathematics from St. John's University.

Grid Analytics

Dean Goodermote has spent most of his adult life either growing or starting young software companies. He has taken two of his companies through the Initial Public Offering process on NASDAQ and three others have produced successful mergers. Companies Goodermote has led have received numerous awards, including Business Week's Top 100 Growth Companies, Fortune Magazine's Top 200 Small Companies, CIO Magazine's Top 100, Deloitte and Touche's Technology Fast 500 and New England Fast Fifty, the Boston Globe's Top Ten, and the INC 500.

Currently, Goodermote is the founder of a concept stage company in life science software, Grid Analytics. Until recently he was the chairman, and CEO of Double-Take Software, a leading publicly-traded infrastructure software company that was acquired by Vision Solutions.

Goodermote has held numerous board positions, both public and private, and has participated actively in many nonprofit ventures. He currently is on the Health Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and chairs the Advisory Board for its Center on Refugees and Disaster Response. He is a member of the Board of Overseers for the New England Aquarium and also teaches and holds an Honorary Professorship of Entrepreneurship at HHL – Leipzig (Germany) Graduate School of Management. He is a U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association official and active in freestyle skiing. Most importantly, he is an amateur musician, an addicted consumer of Berkleemusic online courses, and a parent of a Berklee alumnus.
