Director of Sales Operations

Description

Under General Supervision of the President, the Director of Sales Operations will implement sales operation processes, forecasting and analysis on a global basis. The successful candidate will cross-functionally with other groups across the organization including the Executive Management Team, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT, Production and Client Services. This is a great opportunity for someone to create and define new processes and structures to ensure success of new sales opportunities and existing sales pipeline.

 

Essential Functions

      • The Director of Sales Operations will create and manage processes relating to Sales Operations, developing and implementing sales processes, improve existing processes and manage change
      • Act on behalf of the President when needed
      • Lead quarterly forecasting and analysis activities with support from sales team
      • Provide support for contracts process by working with Contract Development team and sales
      • Build and run sales reports, including managing pipeline reporting, compensation and plan administration
      • Administration and management of sales compensation plan
      • Provide general sales support-participate in client calls or meetings, respond to client questions regarding our price and technology/capabilities, etc.
      • Coordinate and participate in new hire training as well as on-going training sessions
      • Partner outsourcing-management of price, terms and invoicing of outsourced services

 

Knowledge and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree; Experience creating a sales process from scratch will be beneficial
      • Experience managing a sales operations process
      • Salesforce.com experience—preferably as a Salesforce.com administrator
      • 5-7 years and sales experience working with the legal community or similar industries
      • Comprehension of e-Discovery sales cycle
      • The ability to work independently
      • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
      • The ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet aggressive sales goals
      • The ability to learn new concepts and technology solutions as the electronic discovery industry changes and grows over time
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
      • Strategic, analytical and presentation skills strongly desired
      • Duties performed independently

 

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct internal supervisory responsibility; however, requires supervision of services from partners and/or other vendors. Also, requires leadership of project-related meetings and communications with cross-functional teams.
