Position Overview:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for effectively positioning all of RenewData's offerings in the market and driving outbound communications and lead generation activities. This key individual will work cross functionally to build and execute marketing programs, with a clear focus on high-impact messaging, competitive differentiation, and customer needs. It is a hybrid marketing communications/lead generation/events/corporate communications position that will provide a solid platform from which to grow in the marketing organization. The right candidate will be a strong writer and analytical thinker, as well as a self-starter who is geared toward action and results. This position reports to the President.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute lead generation strategy. Monitor and optimize programs to meet objectives -- setting program metrics and demonstrating ROI.
- Develop and execute the corporate media plan; identifying all on/off line media outlets, managing placement and reporting to achieve maximum outreach.
- Oversee media outreach and public relations, including press releases, editorial coverage, interviews and speaking engagements. Manage PR firm activities.
- Design and draft materials such as direct mail, data sheets, flyers, brochures, web content, public relations materials, sales presentations, webinar content, etc.
- Oversee maintenance/design of company website
- Develop and execute corporate event and tradeshow strategy, working with internal stakeholders to identify and ensure all corporate events, user groups, webinars and tradeshows are executed flawlessly and on strategy
- Manage the corporate brand identity and style guidelines: logos, taglines, business papers, and presentation templates
- Manage marketing collateral and promotional inventory
- Manage marketing and advertising budget
Required Experience/Background/Skills:
- 5-8 years experience with product marketing or marketing communication experience. Ideally 3 years experience in enterprise software or a related field.
- Strong written and presentation skills -- edits and proofreads at an expert level. Expert knowledge in PowerPoint with familiarity with HTML and design/desktop publishing applications.
- A structured thinker with the ability to synthesize technical data into clear take aways for sales, marketing, channel members, and customers.
- Strong project ownership and accountability. High energy and commitment to drive and produce results - with an attention to details.
- Proven success in managing and implementing multiple projects on time and within budget
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and cross-functional skills.
- Sound understanding of the product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of message archiving and electronic discovery applications a plus.
- BA/BS degree, MBA preferred with an emphasis in marketing (though not required).
Travel Requirements:
- Travel as necessary to meet goals. Estimated at 20%.
