Vestigate Project Manager

Description

Vestigate is a human-based decision-making review application that accelerates access to key documents, provides measurable accuracy to ensure that relevant documents have not been missed and significantly reduces project cost and time. The product significantly reduces business risk and increases competitive advantage for its users. Through continued expansion of the product, we are currently recruiting Vestigate Project Managers.

Vestigate Project Managers are responsible for directing and managing discovery related document review and management services. This position will be a single point of contact for clients and is empowered to be fully accountable for coordination of project requirements, workflow management, scheduling, daily operations, project fulfillment, testing, quality control and technology.

 

Essential Functions

      • Supervise and lead day-to-day document review activities through extensive client interaction with primary focus of achieving and surpassing client service goals.
      • Train and manage clients on the effective use of Vestigate software.
      • Consult on best practices for electronic discovery with a strong focus on document review methodology.
      • Work closely with legal teams to review and research large corpora and learn the language used by the community to identify areas to apply data mining and research methodologies.
      • Track, resolve and document all project-related issues and inquiries in support system.
      • Create and manage status reports of project activities and delivery schedule.
      • Proactively manage project processes and methodologies to ensure successful execution.
      • Take sole ownership of all assigned client engagements as if they were your own.
      • Provide unparalleled and exceptional client service by conducting clear and frequent communication with client that produces high levels of client loyalty.
      • Collaborate with consulting, operations and sales staff to ensure proper understanding of client expectations, workflow and client deliveries.
      • Train internal staff and/or clients, as required.
      • Stay educated on discovery support database and related technical offerings such as Concordance, iCONECT, Relativity, Summation, Applied Discovery, Attenex, H5, Cataphora, Ringtail, Introspect, Stratify, IPRO, LiveNote, CaseMap and other related products.

 

Knowledge and Experience

      • Three (3) or more years of exceptional project management experience involving document review.
      • Prior experience working for a corporate counsel, law firm or legal service provider.
      • Experience in managing diverse teams in the execution of the project (project managers, librarians, legal staff, attorneys, IT, etc.)
      • Experience with complex Boolean search syntax.
      • Understanding of search technologies including concept search, latent semantic analysis and auto-categorization tools and their usefulness in information research.
      • Ability to manage risks, priorities and expectations in a fast-paced environment.
      • Excel in understanding and providing exceptional client service.
      • Tremendous organization skills.
      • Ability to think “outside the box” when solving problems.
      • Excellent oral, written and listening skills.
      • Experienced and knowledgeable of discovery support services including preservation, acquisition, processing, data capture and document review.
      • Knowledge of Concordance, Summation, Access and other legal database systems.
      • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
      • PMI Certification is a plus but not required.
      • Conduct his/herself in a positive manner.
      • Ability to travel.
