| Facing several federal investigations, a large energy company with revenues of more than $1 billion in 2000 needed to quickly produce corporate emails from backup tapes.
Their internal IT department had tried unsuccessfully to restore the needed emails for more than 8 months. Their system included 24 Exchange servers with more than 8,000 users and a threaded tape
library backup system. Processing of the backup tapes had to be done on-site. |
| RenewData supplied the energy company with sample email files from the backup tapes in just 5 days. The following week, RenewData went on-site to process more than 25 billion pages
(25 terabytes) of email data for specific individuals and dates from 363 backup tapes covering an eight month period. |
| RenewData met all of the client's needs by extracting email files and attachments without recreating the native environment thus saving the company both time and money.
On-site for more than three months, RenewData's professionals filtered for privilege and delivered more than 9,600 target email files from backup tapes and processed more than 2 million email files.
RenewData also forensically duplicated approximately 1,200 tapes in various formats. |
