RenewData Posts Record Growth in 2004 RenewData Triples Revenue as Customer Demand Rises for Electronic Evidence and Preservation Archiving Services Austin, TX, March 9, 2005 - RenewData, a leading technology provider of electronic evidence services and preservation archiving for corporations and law firms, today announced record revenue growth in 2004, driven largely by the introduction of the company's Managed Preservation Archiving service and enhanced data processing capabilities. Additionally, the acquisition of 98 new customers, combined with substantial follow-on business from existing customers, contributed to a 300 percent increase in revenue over 2003. "Tripling our revenue in 2004 illustrates that customers realize the benefits of our legal expertise combined with our differentiated technology," said Bob Gomes, RenewData CEO. "We've broadened our customer base, introduced the Managed Preservation Archiving Service and processed more than four petabytes-about 300 billion pages-of data in 2004 to support the growing demand from our customers." Organizations are concerned with managing the time demands and costs associated with electronic data preservation, extraction, production and review, as well as the need to address future requests. Additionally, companies are progressively more aware of the potential dangers of failing to properly preserve and produce responsive electronic documents. Customers increasingly engage with RenewData to reduce the cost and minimize the time demands of electronic data discovery. Fueled by the growth, RenewData hired more than 100 employees in 2004 and plans to hire at least another 100 employees in 2005. Additional 2004 Highlights The introduction of RenewData's Managed Preservation Archiving Service in the fourth quarter of 2004 magnifies the company's vision to enable companies to migrate from reactive to proactive data management for litigation and investigations through evidence preservation and data archiving. The Managed Preservation Archiving Service enables organizations to accelerate assessment of legal exposure and efficiently and economically prepare for discovery requests. Preservation Archiving provides cost-effective, off-site electronic evidence preservation and record archiving for legal matters by allowing organizations to proactively manage the data needed to plan legal strategies and allows organizations to access data without disruption to normal business processes. Also in July of 2004, RenewData opened expanded facilities in 18,000 square feet of office space and added an additional 6,000 square feet in December. Plans for growth in 2005 include an additional 25,000 square feet. The new facility includes a new, state-of-the-art electronic evidence processing center, which was specifically designed to ensure that critical, one-of-a-kind electronic evidence is securely and safely managed against theft, fire and loss. This new facility is the result of RenewData's rapid growth and the accelerated need for electronic evidence discovery services in litigation and government investigations. About RenewData Contact |
