US-Analytics and RenewData Announce Partnership to Offer Symantec Enterprise Vault Migration Service for Historical Data

Turn-key solution bundles delivery and support services with a fully-loaded and indexed Enterprise Vault containing data from historical backup media

Dallas, TX and Austin, TX - August 12, 2008 - US-Analytics, a national professional services firm focused on data and technology solutions that solve enterprise business problems, and RenewData, a leading provider of e-discovery and electronically stored information risk management services, announced today a partnership that will bring a new and unique solution to companies using Symantec Enterprise Vault software for email and data archiving. The offering wraps US-Analytics' National STS Symantec Enterprise Vault delivery team with RenewData's proprietary solution for migrating and consolidating data currently stored on backup media. Historical data is transferred into the Enterprise Vault environment to create a centralized, searchable, and legally defensible data repository of all data.

The joint solution encompasses the Enterprise Vault implementation and support services of US-Analytics with RenewData's Data Migration services to convert, load, and index historical data from backup media directly into an Enterprise Vault archive. Data is extracted and de-duplicated from removable media, and the processed data is then ingested, indexed and stored in an Enterprise Vault archive which can be installed at the client's site. The US-Analytics senior-level project managers and consultant services team will install and support this all-in-one Data Migration Service.

"Most archive systems provide only 'go-forward' solutions and leave the corporation to wrestle with the historical backlog of existing business records and email," said Greg Buckles, owner of Reason-eD, a legal consulting and e-discovery company. "Existing preservation and disaster recovery collections on backup tapes can span years and comprise thousands of tapes. This unmanaged data can create huge risks and result in substantial liabilities for corporations facing litigation or investigations."

Once activated at the client's site, Symantec's accompanying Discovery Accelerator application can be configured to manage the resulting data set as part of the Enterprise Vault archive. The solution gives organizations a way to manage both historical data and active data going forward, as well as the ability to apply retention policies and legal holds, putting them one step ahead when needing to respond to discovery and compliance orders. All services are performed under full chain-of-custody processes to ensure data integrity and defensibility.

"RenewData's expertise in discovery and risk management of ESI and their knowledge of Symantec Enterprise Vault technology is crucial to the success of this offering and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with their team," said Scott Preszler, President and CEO of US-Analytics. "This partnership enables us to now provide our clients with the much needed ability to include historical data from backup media into their Enterprise Vault archives, which is a critical element required for true litigation readiness in today's corporate environment."

"The extensive experience of the US-Analytics delivery and support team has enabled many large corporations to more efficiently integrate Enterprise Vault archives into their environments," said Bob Little, CMO of RenewData. "We are proud to work with such a seasoned team of professionals, and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership will foster for both of us."
