Supervised Tape Archive Process (STAP) Collection

STAP collection is a method used to capture the necessary data from servers onto easily portable media without having to shut down your client's network or individually capture each drive in a RAID array. STAP collection entails a RenewData expert supervising your client's IT team while making a full backup and includes verification of electronic information into a consistent tape backup platform (for example ARCServe, Backup Exec, or NT Native). In this approach, all metadata and folder structures at the time of the backup are captured, and data is preserved in an unalterable media type. Once completed, the RenewData expert then takes immediate possession of the media under chain-of-custody.
